Just to give you something to think about….

There was a time when writers from all different backgrounds were able to be read and write freely and securely. We would tell our stories without censorship or any types of handicaps. However, life often hands us changes when we least expect them. Our histories are being changed quietly and subtly. Our values are being manipulated to meet a hidden criteria. If you have firm Judaeo-Christian values, you may find life will soon become more difficult for you. We are the silent majority, but if we are not careful – we may be on the extinction lists. Am I an alarmist? BOY – I hope so!

I was never very political. I taught high school in Maine and in Florida and I discovered that I enjoyed that age group very much. We got along well and I think I learned as much from them as they did from me. My students were my joy and I thank them all.

But now I am a writer. That is what I enjoy above all else. But writing books is only one way to communicate. Now, social media is domineering the stage and influencing our young with half truths and repetition.

I took a marketing course and they taught us that if you repeat something forty times, people will believe it. Now if we apply that fact to the information that we are bombarded with today, Yikes! What is our little brain being hit with?

Think about something positive that you have heard – bet you only heard it once or twice. Now think about all the negative you have heard….how many times and how many locations did you hear that piece of information?

Well I say, don’t take something at face value, stop just listening, and start investigating. With the help of the internet, you can become your own investigator without leaving home. Don’t leave it for others to do.

Let us set some goals for this very challenging year – take nothing at face value and get interested in protecting the values that we have worked and fought so hard to establish. Our Freedoms have cost lives and we must never take that for granted!
